This is my place to show off the items I would call vintage, things I have either refinished or kept as is and find interesting. I am still a kid at heart bringing home what some might call junk and am always in search of that buried treasure. I am not a picker and I am not a hoarder, working with my hands on my own time repairing or refinishing the things I find brings me peace of mind and time to myself to contemplate whatever has transpired in my life or time to just zone out and concentrate on the task at hand. Back From The Wilderness

Time to get back to business, spent three weeks on the road camping (in a tent) from Ontario to British Columbia and racked up about 9500kms (about 6000miles) encountered all manner of wildlife from the small furry kind to bears, big horn sheep and elk. Sat in a natural hot spring with some new-age hippie kids after travelling 20km across a treacherous mountain logging road, learned a lot about the history of this country and took in some of the most breath taking views after hiking to the summit of a mountain, and many more not so high up.That was two weeks ago, since being home I've done more camping closer to home and spent more time in the wild. Spirit Of The West(Home for a rest) seemed fitting as summer is closing out but thankfully summer will be back again after a few months of recharging the batteries and dreaming of what new adventures await me.
I'm envious about your adventure. We don't trip nearly as much as we'd like and love the pics! Canada is truly a beautiful country. I was born and raised in upstate New York close to the border and I sometimes miss the countryside and change of seasons...
I have plenty of pics of the wildlife/ scenery and from all provinces in between but didn't want to fill this "vintage/antique" blog up so I may start another documenting my adventures. I love Canada and it's heritage, to escape southern Ontario and it's hectic urban areas is a real treat. Northern Ontario around Lake Superior is by far as beautiful as the Rockies, something that most Ontarians don't see but plenty of visitors from Michigan enjoy so we may spend a few weeks around there next year or head for Cape Breton,NS and see the Cabot Trail...... Love the walnut end tables, walnut always looks so clean and crisp when done right makes a bold statement. Hopefully I'll have some things to post soon (mostly small)
