What's old is new

This is my place to show off the items I would call vintage, things I have either refinished or kept as is and find interesting. I am still a kid at heart bringing home what some might call junk and am always in search of that buried treasure. I am not a picker and I am not a hoarder, working with my hands on my own time repairing or refinishing the things I find brings me peace of mind and time to myself to contemplate whatever has transpired in my life or time to just zone out and concentrate on the task at hand. Some items for sale or possible trade just ask..click on my profile and send me an email.

H.Krug Office Chair-Mission Style Desk

Love my new(umm-old) oak office chair, I have seen these listed anywhere from $60-$120. I won't tell what I paid but if the price range I outlined is Major League then what I paid would be Little League or T-ball. Cha Ching more money in pocket for more stuff. I would date this from 1930-1940 and it may be a little older, H.Krug has been around longer but prior to 1916 Kitchener was called Berlin so going by the tag I'd date it after that. Eventually I'd like to do a full and thorough restoration on the desk and chair and the newer caster wheels will be replaced by originals that I have. If I haven't mentioned the desk before it's solid oak Mission Style Library table that is designed for two people to sit at as the single drawer slides open from either side, I've seen these range in price from around $300-$1200 and sometimes more but it depends if it has makers name attached and the particular style. This desk has no name attached but the style is appealing.
