What's old is new

This is my place to show off the items I would call vintage, things I have either refinished or kept as is and find interesting. I am still a kid at heart bringing home what some might call junk and am always in search of that buried treasure. I am not a picker and I am not a hoarder, working with my hands on my own time repairing or refinishing the things I find brings me peace of mind and time to myself to contemplate whatever has transpired in my life or time to just zone out and concentrate on the task at hand. Some items for sale or possible trade just ask..click on my profile and send me an email.

DeMott Sculpture - Birds Of Paradise Chalkware - Small Lava Planter - Niels Larsen School Chair - Steamer Trunk

Made off like a bandit on the DeMott Sailboat, Chalkware and Lava pot. Passed on the Niels Larsen school chair and steamer trunk. The chair was just run of the mill and smaller for a child, the steamer trunk had to much paint on it. I've got enough paint removal projects now, I also went back and checked the gravel art again but still couldn't pull the trigger on it. Overall three nice little spoils of war from my thrift store battles this evening.

  1. Some very nice finds! Sometimes you just have to pass on things. We've been doing a little of that this week in anticipation of a buying trip to Memphis, Tennessee and Denver, Colorado.

  2. I can't wait till my 3 week road trip to B.C. this summer. It will be my third time making the drive and I hope I find some small stuff on the way.
